 ★По - Along, around, according to, by 

★"По" is one of the most difficult Russian prepositions to translate. It has a number of different uses and meanings, and needs to be translated based on context. It is most commonly used with the dative case. "По" (+dative) can mean "around"

Романтик прогуливался по пляжу.

Romantic walk along the beach. 

Romantic在岸边散步。
